It's a great day for a looong bike ride!

but - nooooooo! I left my phone at fierce313's house! And now I have to wait for her to get home from work to get it ooOOOOooo! Unfortunately I have no way of letting her know (other than posting here) since I don't know the name of her workplace...

So I have a day to kill here in Madison. I was *so* ready to leave too, and it's such a nice cool day. But, oh well. I have 36 days until the estimated start day, and I'm 4 or 5 days ride from the place. Now I am planning a distended extended long way there that should waste an extra couple of weeks maybe, but still, it really doesn't matter in the long run if I stay here a bit longer.

I may or may not bother with Minneapolis/St Paul until after the beet run. Chances are I'll wind up catching a bus out of there back east where I need to attend to renewing IDs and other mundane stuff. Maybe. Maybe. maybe I'll even buy a car or something. But maybe not as the first thing I need to do is pay up an apartment to live in, somewhere. Somewhere I have to figure out where it will be.

There is a possibility of visiting a friend of a friend who's in eastern Iowa. Somebody I know is playing match maker maybe? And then there is Stosh out in central Iowa. Aieee there's no way of knowing what the best next place will be. I think I'll take this time to email ms-friend-of-a-friend and see where that goes.
